SUMMER CLASS: Awake & Engaged

  • Destiny Christian Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Have you ever woke from a dream and it took you minute to reorient to the real world?  The apostle Paul thought that being a follower of Christ was like that. That while the world sleeps, Christians are awake to the world in the midst of a spiritual battle, in which, we all play a role in God’s plan and mission being fulfilled. This summer, on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, starting July 10th and going through Aug. 14th in the media room (Upstairs HS), Pastor A.T. will be leading a class on how we live awake in a world asleep. This will involve how to be oriented to God, seeing spiritually, operating with spiritual weapons, and not carnal ones. It will also include, how to continue to live awake through practices that foster a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God. Hope you will join us!

Ephesians Online Bible Study

  • Destiny Christian Center (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Have you ever wondered what Paul might say to modern American Believers? Well, Paul’s letter to the church in the city of Ephesus might be the closest we can get. The city of Ephesus was the seacoast capital of proconsular Asia, and was one of Asia’s great religious, political, and commercial centers. The famous temple of Diana, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, was situated in Ephesus and created a culture of sexuality and the occult.  As a huge temple it served as a fitting illustration to Paul, when he wrote his Epistle to the Ephesians, of the true Church of Jesus Christ, the abode of the Holy Spirit. The substance of the epistle is, indeed, the calling and conduct of the Church. When Paul wrote from his prison in Rome, he would show the saints that in the invisible Church they had a temple, not made with human hands, infinitely more glorious. Who we are as the people of God and how should we live in the world we find ourselves in is Paul’s underlying theme throughout the book. Join us for a 6 part Bible study of Ephesians online led by Pastor A.T. on Sundays at 5:00 pm.  There is one class left on February 25th. Register for a link to the zoom call.
